YouTube FanFest is a site to promote global events sponsored by YouTube and Branded where popular YouTube content creators perform at live-events around the world.

The main requirements were a CMS that could be administered by staff with different security privileges and ran on AppEngine. To fulfil this, it was built entirely from the ground up.

Strong investment in the complex build of the system resulted in a product that performs well at scale, whilst remaining very easy to administer.
